Description

This study group is tailored to working professionals who want to join other peers to study the INCOSE SE Handbook whilst following a structured study plan. The objective is to improve understanding of the INCOSE SE Handbook in order to pass the INCOSE SEP exam. Join this study group if you want to systematically study for the INCOSE SEP exam.

  • Scope is INCOSE SE Handbook v5 (excluding Section 1 and Appendices);
  • Live and online (Zoom) session facilitated by Terry Fitzgerald, a CSEP, or other experienced professionals depending on availability;
  • 14 hours @ 1 hour each session. First session is an introduction (Session 0), next twelve (12) sessions are on the scope of the INCOSE SE Handbook v5 (excluding Section 1 and Appendices) and the final session (Session 13) is a walkthrough to how to apply for SEP exam, ASEP and CSEP as well as to celebrate to culmination of the study group;
  • For Standard Study Groups: For the duration of the study group sessions are from 1200 – 1300 ET each Monday;
  • For Accelerated Study Groups: For the duration of the study group sessions are from 1200 – 1300 ET each Monday AND 1200 – 1300 ET each Friday;
  • Each session, from Session 1 to Session 12, culminates in a 10 question quiz so you’ll have completed up to 120 questions in exam-simulated conditions;
  • Access to recordings and peer study deliverables up to 3 months after last scheduled session of the Study Group;

What to expect

This is a study group and is not a training class – members are responsible to read the INCOSE SE handbook;
* This study group is held in English;
* Depending on the size of the study group, members may be grouped into teams and the management and coordination of the team is the responsibility of its members;
* Members will be assigned at the preceding session a section of the INCOSE SE handbook to read and present to the rest of the study group at the next session;
* A 10 question quiz covering the assigned content of the session;
* Time for Q&A at the end of each session;
* An individualized quiz report after each session;
* Access to private Discord server;
* A certificate of continuous learning certifying the number of eligible PDU points the member can claim consistent with the number of sessions attended.
Important Dates

For Winter Standard Study Group:
* Study group starts January 12th (Monday), 2026
Eligibility to partial reimbursement

In order to be eligible for a 15% reimbursement (net any transaction and 3rd party fees) of the final sales price the study group member shall meet the following criteria:
* Member shall have attendance greater than 75% (attendance to one session is demonstrated by having a unique display name to help identify the member AND for attending the session for greater than 30 minutes); AND
* Member shall provide, within 30 days after the completion date, the copy of the INCOSE SEP exam results notification, dated between the start date and 30 days after the completion date.
What you'll need

To access the study group you'll need:
* A copy of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook version 5 (downloadable for free at incose.org for INCOSE members);
* A valid email address to receive One Time Passwords and other study group related communications ;
* Access to an authenticator app such as Microsoft Authenticator to authenticate your login attempts;
* Access to Microsoft OneDrive;
* Access to Zoom meetings in both listening mode and presenting mode;
* (recommended) Access to Discord;
Information on Study Deck

ONLY applicable if Study Deck is purchased with Study Group order:
* 3 month access to multiple private decks of flash cards covering the INCOSE SE Handbook v5, including Terms and Definitions, Purposes and Input-Process-Output information;
* Study Deck includes more than 300 flash cards;
* You'll need access to Brainscape.com.
